Our results show that the straightforward convolution GPU implementation obtains up to 8 times better performance than the best recursive algorithm (the Deriche's filter) executed on a CPU, for useful maximum a values. GPUs have turned out a useful option to obtain high execution performance, specially due to the emergence of high level languages for graphics hardware. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/72593 | ISBN: | 978-3-540-75866-2 | ISSN: | 0302-9743 | DOI: | 10.1007/978-3-540-75867-9_123 | Source: | Moreno Díaz R., Pichler F., Quesada Arencibia A.
