Abstract: Corrosion resistance modeling of a new ternary titanium Ti-0.5Mo-1Ni alloy (in casting or forging state) in comparison with the base metal in ortho- and meta- phosphoric acid solutions of various concentrations and temperatures was studied. The potentiostatic and potentiodynamic polarisation measurements were carried out in order to determine the main electrochemical parameters. The linear polarisation method was used to obtain the corrosion current densities and corrosion rates. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was also applied and equivalent electric circuits were fitted with the experimental data.
