Abstract

The processes generated by the linguistics contact are not produced in a chaotic way, but according to some vectors originated by the correlation of forces among the participants, and follow, generally, the direction of the internal tendencies of development of the language/s with high status (LHS). However, the influences among the participants are mutual and the language/s with low status (LLS) may leave its/their marks in the process, though not with the same strength as the LHS.

Los procesos generados por el contacto lingüístico no se producen caóticamente, sino de acuerdo a unos vectores originados por la correlación de fuerzas entre los participantes, y siguen, generalmente, la dirección de las tendencias internas de desarrollo de la lengua con estatus alto (LEA). Sin embargo, las influencias entre los participantes son mutuas y la/s lengua/s con estatus bajo (LEB) pueden dejar su impronta en el proceso, aunque no con la misma fuerza que la LEA.
