Abstract: In Fuerteventura Canary Island, a past sea level with equatorial fauna is observed between -2 m and +3 m relative to the upper limit of the current intertidal zone. Two samples collected at +0.50 m are U/Th dated at 106 +/- 7 ka and 112 +/- ka. It brings evidence for year-round sea surface temperatures warmer than 23-degrees-C during isotopic stage 5, possibly 5 c.
