El yeísmo en el cómic: una aproximación a la caracterización de personajes

Abstract

En este artículo se presenta el yeísmo como medio de caracterización de personajes en el cómic español del siglo XX, según usos observados en historietistas tales como Marí Benejam i Ferrer, Manuel Vázquez Gallego, Francisco Ibáñez Talavera, Alejandro María Estivill (Nené Estivill), José Peñarroya Peñarroya, Joan Rafart i Roldán (Raf) y Joaquín Cera Barrios. El contexto sociolingüístico catalán destaca como factor determinante.

This article aims to present the use of yeismo as a means of characterization in Spanish comic strips of the twentieth century. My study is based on the observation of this phenomenon in such comic strip writers as Marí Benejam i Ferrer, Manuel Vázquez Gallego, Francisco Ibáñez Talavera, Alejandro María Estivill (Nené Estivill), José Peñarroya Peñarroya, Joan Rafart i Roldán (Raf) and Joaquín Cera Barrios. The Catalan sociolinguistic context stands out as a determining factor.
