La apreciación afijal en contextos de sociolecto bajo en el habla de Sevilla

Abstract

En el análisis de un corpus basado en entrevistas semidirigidas a hablantes sevillanos ubicados en un sociolecto bajo se observa un empleo frecuente del diminutivo. El valor de estos sufijos viene motivado por la autoprotección del informante, dadas las circunstancias comunicativas en las que se ve inmerso. Los datos corroboran una de las funciones básicas de este tipo de afijo, por más que se puedan percibir, en menor medida, usos peyorativos

In a corpus-based analysis of semi-directed interviews with Sevillian speakers of a low sociolect, a frequent use of the diminutive is observed. The value of these suffixes is determined by the self-protective strategies employed by the informants, due to the communicative circumstances in which they are immersed. The data corroborate one of the basic functions of these type of affixes, although less frequent pejorative uses may be observed.
