Expediciones francesas y sus proyectos marítimos en torno a Filipinas: el caso del capitán Boislore (1710-1735)

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo estudiar el caso de la navegación y captura que se hizo en 1710 del capitán francés Juan Boisloré en Filipinas, el cual ejemplifica cómo las navegaciones francesas extendieron sus redes el Atlántico al Pacífico y pronto este océano formó parte de sus proyectos marítimos. En ellos el uso de Filipinas, directa o indirectamente, fue considerado.

The aim of this article is to study the navigation and capture of the Captain Jean de Boisloré in the Philippines (1710), which demonstrates how the French extended their navigations from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Also, this case helps us to understand how the French became interested in the Pacific and the importance that they assigned to the Philippines in this process.
