dc.description.abstractThe author discusses a report that compared calcifediol and cholecalciferol to address its relative efficacy to improve vitamin D status in terms of increasing serum 25-hidroxi-vitamin D. Highlights include the relative potency of calcifediol versus cholecalciferol, the scientific evidence of calcifediol and cholecalciferol on reduction of fracture risk in osteoporosis, and the use of cholecalciferol as concomitant treatment to boost the efficiency of anti-osteoporotic drugs.-
