UNESCO Clasification: | 3325 Tecnología de las telecomunicaciones | Issue Date: | 1992 | Publisher: | Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) | Conference: | 1992 IEEE Conference on Wireless LAN Implementation | Abstract: | Data communication systems that use infrared (IR) systems are discussed. The authors present the design, implementation, and results obtained with local area networks (LANs) such as ARCNet and Ethernet, and with modems or extenders for RS-232/RS-423/RS-422 (115200 Bd) and IEEE Std 488 which use an IR link. The systems use an IR emitting diode (IRED) as an optical source and a PIN photodiode as a photodetector. The study of the receiver sensitivity is outlined, and the system implementation is described. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/69757 | ISBN: | 0-8186-2625-9 | DOI: | 10.1109/CWLAN.1992.275717 | Source: | Proceedings of the IEEE Conference on Wireless LAN Implementation, p. 51-55 |
