The purpose of this work was to examine the self-perceptions that teenagers have of important aspects of their own personality, such as level of competence and self-worth, self-esteem and relationships with those in their inner circle, especially parents and equals. The methodology used to evaluate those self-perceptions included a survey which was applied to a sample of 1,056 teenagers of both genres, aged 13-20. The analysis of the survey results shows that the individuals surveyed enjoy high levels of self-esteem and have a high self-perception. The positive perceptions and assessments of these individuals are evident from the overall results of both the sample as a whole and each of the individual subgroups within the sample. On the other hand, significant differences of averages between boys and girls and among the different age groups have been found. The girls and the youngest group exhibited the lowest levels of self-esteem and self-perception.
