Abstract: In this piece of work, the Objectives role will be determine the link to the surgical prophylaxis protocol and it influence of modification in the rate of wound infection in the orthopaedic surgery department during a clinical placement that will be discussed as this will be highlighted during the compilation of this study. Resources and Methodology Total hip or knee replacement operated patients at the University teaching Hospital Insular of Gran Canaria where Follows by trained employees during two periods of explanation: Period A:Twenty four Months Period B: Twelve month. Between the two periods a modification of surgical prophylaxis was carried out.
