Abstract: Se cita por primera vez, en aguas de las Islas Canarias, la presencia de Solea kleini Bonaparte, 1833, y se confirma la presencia de Microchirus azevia (Capello, 1868) en dichas islas. Se dan algunas características somatométricas de los ejemplares estudiados y una tabla comparativa de las mismas con las de ejemplares de dichas especies procedentes de otras localidades. Se acompañan algunos datos acerca de los tipos de fondo sobre los que estas especies viven en aguas canarias.
First record of Solea kleini Bonaparte, 1833, and presence of Microchirus azevia (Capello, 1868) (Heterosomata, Soleidae) in the Canary Islands. - In the waters of the Canary Islands, the presence of Solea kleini Bonaparte, 1833, is recorded for the first time, and the presence of Microchirils azevia (Capello, 1868) has been recorded in the Canary Islands too. Sorne somatometric characteristics of the specimens which have been studied are given, as well as a cornparative table of these specimens and others of the same species proceeding from other places. Some information concerning the types of sea-floor above which species live in the waters of the Canary Islands, accompanies the text.
