In this study we aim to shed the light on the historical context of the creation of the Spanish-Soviet joint venture “Sovhispán”, the final outcome of the negotiations and previous business practices between Spain and the Soviet Union. We investigate transfer costs of this joint venture, describing its shareholding structure and corporate organizational form. The newly discovered historical documents allow us to build the balances and find some financial ratios, which completed significantly the knowledge about the company.
