La situación actual del español en Costa de Marfil. Contextos específicos para la enseñanza de ELE

Abstract

Costa de Marfil es en la actualidad el primer país del África subsahariana en lo que se refiere al número de alumnos de español, pues supera los 300.000. Los frutos de más de seis años de estudio son escasos pues los materiales están obsoletos, los docentes carecen de medios y están condicionados por unas directrices establecidas por el Ministerio de Educación. Urge, por tanto, un acercamiento institucional que facilite adecuar su rumbo.

Côte d'Ivoire is currently the first sub-Saharan country as regards the number of people who are learning Spanish–with over 300.000 learners. The results obtained after 6 years of study are poor because the materials used are outdated, teachers have no resources and are limited by the directives established by the Spanish Ministry of Education. It is therefore urgent to operate an institutional approach allowing to adjust the direction toward which Spanish teaching in Côte d'Ivoire is heading.
