Abstract: El objetivo del presente trabajo es el de demostrar, desde un punto de vista lingüístico y apoyándonos en datos estadísticos, que las marcas -al y -ar funcionan en la toponimia de la isla de Gran Canaria como variantes de un mismo morfo, pero no como dos unidades sufijales.
The objective we pursue with this work is to demonstrate, from a linguistic point of view and relying on statistics, that -al and -ar marks function in the toponymy of the island of Gran Canaria as variants of a same morph, but not as two suffixes.
