We introduce a new concept in systems theory, the intersensorial transformations (IT). This concept is transparent and general enough to include sensory-motor transformations for robotic actions. The analysis of this transformations leads to the existence of various levels of generalized mapping between representation spaces. From lower to higher levels the most appropriate transformations are the artificial neural networks which cover from lineal transformations to diagnostic like transformations to go through automata transformations. This concept allows to explain aspects of functional no specificity and reliability of complex systems. In the same way they supply an appropriate theoretic framework for developing integrated intelligent artificial systems having reasonable paradigmatic value for natural systems: the Generating Identifications Artificial System (GIAS), Reproductive Identifications Artificial System (RIAS), and for providing generalized sensory protheses. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/54789 | ISBN: | 978-3-540-60748-9 | ISSN: | 0302-9743 | DOI: | 10.1007/BFb0034751 | Source: | Pichler F., Díaz R.M., Albrecht R.
