Title: | A comparative analysis of "controlled elitism" in the NSGA-II applied to frame optimization | Authors: | Greiner, D Winter Althaus, Gabriel Emperador Alzola, José María Galván González, Blas José |

Issue Date: | 2004 | Conference: | IUTAM Symposium on Evolutionary Methods in Mechanics | Abstract: | Controlled elitism in NSGAII is analysed, applied to a multiobjective frame optimisation problem with discrete modelling. Influence of various mutation rates is considered. A double minimization is handled: constrained weight and number of different cross section types. The comparative statistical results of the test case show a convergence study during evolution by means of certain metrics that measure front coverage and distance to the optimal front. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/53911 | ISBN: | 1-4020-2266-2 | Source: | Iutam Symposium On Evolutionary Methods In Mechanics,v. 117, p. 101-110 |
