This technology is very appropriate for client applications running on portable computing devices (cell phones and hand-held devices) due to their limited memory and bandwidth resources. A serious problem that has not been fully examined by other researchers is the control of temporary and intermittent disconnections due to lack of coverage, and its influence on the performance of media streaming.
