Abstract: Excess molar enthalpies measured in a Calvet microcalorimeter are reported for the 10 mixtures: {xCH3(CH2)v-1CO2CH3 (v = 5 to 14) + (1 - x)CH3(CH2)11CH3} at 298.15 K and atmospheric pressure. All the mixtures show positive excess enthalpies which decrease with increasing chain length v of the methyl ester. The dependence of HEm at x = 0.5 on the number of carbon atoms of the ester shows a quasi-exponential variation. © 1991 Academic Press Limited All rights reserved.
