The existence of a high frequency range where the wind generated waves spectrum attains an energetic equilibrium is widely recognised at present. However, various alternative formulations have been suggested, to characterise the wave spectrum in this frequency band, assuming a fourth inverse power law. It is shown that these models can be unified into a general form.en_US
