UNESCO Clasification: | 120304 Inteligencia artificial | Issue Date: | 1999 | Journal: | Lecture Notes in Computer Science | Conference: | 1st International Conference on Computer Vision Systems, ICVS 1999 | Abstract: | In this paper we propose a system architecture which is hardware/software reconfigurable, modular, and intended to be a generic approach to partitioning reactive visual algorithms for implementation on highperformance multiprocessing systems integrated in robotic environments. We present a configurable and flexible parallel perception system that provides a platform for developing applications which allows for experimenting with real-time computervision algorithms. An automatic target recognition application using our reconfigurable architecture have been implemented successfully. The paper describes how this reactive application is implemented in a pair of boards based on different technology: a reconfigurable board and a general purpose Pentium board. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/51944 | ISBN: | 978-3-540-65459-9 3540654593 |
