dc.description.abstract | In this paper, a movement recognition and strain measurement algorithm, and their implementation in an embedded system is presented. A strain gauge is used as a transducer to measure the bone strength, whereas the response of a two-axis accelerometer is processed for the movement recognition. The proposed signal processing algorithms were programmed in a microcontroller to implement a portable and autonomous system. Experimental results were obtained to demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithm in real time measurements. | en_US |
