Abstract: The corrosion in physiological environment is due to the chlorine ions, from this environment, its pH (which can change from 7,4 to 4) and the special conditions that can appear in the course of the infections, hematoma, allergies etc. These conditions are simulated and modelated by the "in vitro" studies, which try to reproduce the entire complex phenomenon that can arise at the implant surface. In this paper were simulated an infectious physiological medium by using an oxidizing nitric acid solution (1N HNO3) and a normal physiological medium by using Hank solution. The electrochemical behaviour of titanium and its biocompatible alloy Ti-5Al-2.5Fe in these solutions were studied by the cyclic voltammetry method.
