The methyl esters considered were CH3(CH2)vCO2CH3 with v = 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8. Density measurements were performed with a DMA 60/602 Anton-Paar densimeter. The excess molar volumes VEm , computed from (density, composition) are positive with the exception of {xCH3(CH2)6CO2CH3 + (1 - x)CH3(CH2)5CH3} and {xCH3(CH2)8CO2CH3 + (1 - x)CH3(CH2)5CH3}, for which VEm becomes negative when x > 0.7 and x >0, respectively. Our VEm values were compared against those obtained applying the group-contribution molecular model of Nitta et al., using a parameter set already available in the literature. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/48888 | ISSN: | 0021-9614 | DOI: | 10.1006/jcht.1994.1102 | Fuente: | The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics [ISSN 0021-9614], v. 26, p. 857-862 |
