dc.description.abstractEducation focused on the student's learning is the new paradigm of learning process proposed by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) to promote an improvement in quality and international competitiveness of higher education in Europe. The adoption of this student-centered paradigm of learning requires changes in teaching methods and tools which focus on the acquisition of abilities and competences through autonomous and continuous work. In this paper, a structured learning portfolio is proposed for organizing and tutoring the student's continuous work in the acquisition of communication skills in Engineering from the development of effective writing assignments and oral presentations.en_US
