Abstract: Concentrations of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) in atmospheric particulates in a suburban zone of Gran Canaria isle during 12 months period by GC/MD were determinated. In this paper the results as well as the influence of some mateorological variables on the concentrations of benzo(a)pyrene, B(a)P, Benzo(ghi)perylene, B(ghi)P and Benzo(b+k)fluoranthene, B(b+k)F are shown. The average concentrations for B(ghi)P, B(b+k)F, B(a)P were 0.613, 0.257 and 0.129 ng.m(-3), respectively. Ambient concentrations were minimum during summer time. Temperatura is the variable with larger influence on the concentrations with values over two when it is below 20 degreesC than when is equal or superior. With respect to the wind its speed exert a notable influence on the B(b +k) F concentrations; apart its direction influences BaP levels when the vind carry to the Valley emissions from Las Palmas city.
