Abstract: ICT has the potential to enhance and transform higher education in many ways and it's seen as important tool to enable and support the move from traditional 'teacher-centric' teaching styles to more 'learner-centric' methods. In this article, we describe and analyze one curricular experiment in the use of ICT in a programming course of an engineering degree. In this course, our students form part of a heterogeneous group with different programming skills. We have checked that the use ICTs in our programming course, increases students' motivation and the examination pass rates.
