Fecha de publicación: | 2003 | Publicación seriada: | Enfermedades Emergentes | Resumen: | In this paper we review the main characteristics of infectious diseases in children detected in Spain. Specifically we have considered four scenarios: - The internationally adopted child. - The newborn of immigrant mother. - The traveller child to the country of their immigrant parents. - The immigrant child. The analysis of these data allows to conclude that, with some exceptions (hepatitis B viral infection, tuberculosis, intestinal parasitic infection), the detected infections in immigrant children in Spain do not constitute a real risk for the autochthonous population. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/48031 | ISSN: | 1575-4723 | Fuente: | Enfermedades Emergentes[ISSN 1575-4723],v. 5, p. 147-159 (julio 2003) |
