This technique is a multiplicative mechanism which improves the response of a previous process. It is based on a statistical process computing averages and variances This technique is an invariant process to noise and to illumination changes. It is also concluded that this technique is a type of generalized high pass filter since image areas with high grey variations are contrasted. We present results of this technique for a practical case of defects detection in leather. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/47659 | ISBN: | 978-3-540-57234-3 | ISSN: | 0302-9743 | DOI: | 10.1007/3-540-57234-1_64 | Source: | Mařík V., Lažanský J., Wagner R.R.
