Issue Date: | 1995 | Journal: | Scandinavian Cardiovascular Journal | Abstract: | Congenital pulmonary arteriovenous fistula is frequently associated with hereditary haemorrhagic telangiectasia (Rendu-Osler-Weber disease). With the increased blood flow in pregnancy such fistulas enlarge, occasionally giving rise to haemothorax, which generally has a poor prognosis. A familial case is presented in which massive haemothorax required emergency thoracotomy in the 27th week of pregnancy. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/46667 | ISSN: | 1401-7431 | DOI: | 10.3109/14017439509107200 | Source: | Scandinavian Cardiovascular Journal [ISSN 1401-7431],v. 29, p. 39-41 |
