Issue Date: | 2011 | Publisher: | 0041-1612 | Journal: | Transportation Journal | Abstract: | Changes in the discipline of transport economics in Europe have implications for different modes, topics, and agents within the field. This article presents some of the most important changes, with a focus on the situation within the European Union (EU). The EU offers a coherent institutional basis for presenting some important regulations toward liberalization, in this case, those that are part of so-called European Common Transport Policy. The selection of the topics has depended largely on the interest and expertise of the author; obviously, other important topics developed by experts from individual countries or even transport authorities within their boundaries could expand the discussion. | URI: | https://accedacris.ulpgc.es/handle/10553/46368 | ISSN: | 0041-1612 | DOI: | 10.5325/transportationj.50.1.0109 | Source: | Transportation Journal[ISSN 0041-1612],v. 50, p. 109-124 |
