Gonzhlez, B. Galvan & G. Winter Institute of Intelligent Systems & Numerical Applications in Engineering (IUSIANO. Evolutionary Computation Division (CEANI). Las Palmas de G.C. University, Spain Abstract In this paper we solve a state constrained optimal control problem using an intelligent system based on evolutionary self-learning computation. We try to find the optimal locations of liquid waste dumping sites in offshore waters, so that it is verified that the concentration of a considered pollutant does not exceed a pre-established limitation, either at a specific distance from the shore or in different protected areas as can be fish hatcheries. Simultaneously, we try to minimise the investment costs such as, for example, hydraulic infrastructures. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/46223 | ISBN: | 978-1-85312-879-0 | ISSN: | 1743-3509 | DOI: | 10.2495/CE030151 | Source: | WIT Transactions on the Built Environment [ISSN 1743-3509], v. 70, p. 141-152, (2003) |
