Abstract: Economic and environmental optimal control in dumping of sewage B. Gonzhlez, B. Galvan & G. Winter Institute of Intelligent Systems & Numerical Applications in Engineering (IUSIANO. Evolutionary Computation Division (CEANI). Las Palmas de G.C. University, Spain Abstract In this paper we solve a state constrained optimal control problem using an intelligent system based on evolutionary self-learning computation. We try to find the optimal locations of liquid waste dumping sites in offshore waters, so that it is verified that the concentration of a considered pollutant does not exceed a pre-established limitation, either at a specific distance from the shore or in different protected areas as can be fish hatcheries. Simultaneously, we try to minimise the investment costs such as, for example, hydraulic infrastructures.
