Resumen: We present a new architecture for the optimization of Traffic Light Cycles in a Traffic Network. The model is based on three basic design items: The use of Genetic Algorithms as an optimization technique, the use of Cellular Automata Simulators within the Evaluation Function, and the use of a Beowulf Cluster as parallel execution environment for this architecture. We also present some tests to demonstrate that this new architecture is suitable for the problem it solves.
