Issue Date: | 2004 | Conference: | Proceedings of the 2004 Congress on Evolutionary Computation, CEC2004 | Abstract: | We present a new architecture for the optimization of Traffic Light Cycles in a Traffic Network. The model is based on three basic design items: The use of Genetic Algorithms as an optimization technique, the use of Cellular Automata Simulators within the Evaluation Function, and the use of a Beowulf Cluster as parallel execution environment for this architecture. We also present some tests to demonstrate that this new architecture is suitable for the problem it solves. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/44300 | ISBN: | 0-7803-8515-2 | DOI: | 10.1109/CEC.2004.1331096 | Source: | Proceedings of the 2004 Congress on Evolutionary Computation, CEC2004,v. 2, p. 1668-1674 |
