Abstract: Two reasons justify this study: (i) an interest in promoting entrepreneurship as a mechanism of growth in emerging economies and (ii) the necessity to develop research studies on the influence that organizations within the business environment have on entrepreneurial activities, and that they are sustained not only on the presentation of results, but also on the analysis of processes, dynamics and interactions among such elements to favor entrepreneurship. Based on these, the following two research questions are formulated: How do institutional environmental factors interact to influence the decision of the individual entrepreneur in an emerging economy? And, what approaches underlay the different action points of view that coexist in institutional economics to achieve the expected institutional and economic development? The answers that we offer to these questions allow us to set propositions of innovative research on the particular influence that organizations have on entrepreneurship in emerging economies, providing new relations that must be explored empirically to improve our understanding of entrepreneurship and its effective promotion in such economic contexts
