Análisis de la percepción de la población del cantón Paján (Ecuador) hacia la implementación de la actividad turística

Abstract

La percepción de la comunidad respecto al turismo, es un factor indispensable para su planificación y el desarrollo local armónico y sostenible. Esta investigación analiza la percepción de los residentes de Paján hacia la implementación del turismo. Para ello, se planteó una metodología cuali-cuantitativa mediante entrevistas a la administración pública del cantón y encuestas a una muestra representativa del poblado. Los resultados arrojan un significativo nivel de aceptación del turismo; así como la percepción general del beneficio de la actividad.

The perception of the community regarding tourism is an indispensable factor for its planning and harmonious and sustainable local development. This research analyzes the perception of Paján residents towards the implementation of tourism. To do this, a qualitative-quantitative methodology was proposed through interviews with the public administration of the canton and surveys of a representative sample of the town. The results show a significant level of acceptance of tourism; as well as the general perception of the benefit of the activity.
