Issue Date: | 2015 | Publisher: | 0007-1145 | Journal: | British Journal of Nutrition | Abstract: | The dietary inflammatory index (DII) is a new tool to assess the inflammatory potential of the diet. In the present study, we aimed to deter- mine the association between the DII and BMI, waist circumference and waist:height ratio (WHtR). We conducted a cross-sectional study of 7236 participants recruited into the PREvencio _ n con DIeta MEDiterra __ nea trial. Information from a validated 137-item FFQ was used to calculate energy, food and nutrient intakes. | URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/10553/24208 | ISSN: | 0007-1145 | DOI: | 10.1017/S0007114514004401 | Source: | British Journal of Nutrition [ISSN 0007-1145], v. 113 (6), p. 984-995 | Rights: | by-nc-nd |
