Territorios literarios y geografía humanística en la poesía de Luis Natera Mayor

Abstract

El presente trabajo parte de una reflexión sobre la evolución epistemológica de la Geografía que intenta su rehumanización con la inclusión de todas las especies emocionales posibles, recurriendo a textos poéticos en la proximación al análisis territorial. Este experimento ha permitido comprobar la coincidencia que existe entre imágenes colectivas y conocimientos geográficos que demuestran la capacidad de renovar el lenguaje y establecer asociaciones simbólicas más abiertas y creativas, corroborando la hipótesis de partida de que el análisis literario puede contribuir al conocimiento del territorio como forma de entender el universo a partir del espacio vivido y ahondar su dimensión afectiva.

The present study stems from some reflections on an epistemological development in geography, which attempts to 'rehumanize' the field by incorporating all possible sorts of emotional content, and turning to poetry as a way of approaching territorial analysis. This experiment confirms the correspondence between such collective images and geographic knowledge as demonstrates language's capacity for renewal, establishing symbolic associations that are more open-ended and creative. This corroborates the study's working hypothesis that literary analysis can contribute to the knowledge of territory, as a way to understand the universe based on the lived environment and to deepen its affective dimensions.
