The last three millenia have brought major transformations in the Cañarían landscape. Some of these changes were due to such strictly natural phenomena as lava and pyroclastic emissions and, furthermore, anthropic causes linked to farming and cattle raising developed during human colonization. In this latter area, with regards to era change we note a considerable degradation on the island of Lanzarote.
