Difusión de la investigación científica iberoamericana en turismo

Abstract

Iberoamérica desempeña un papel clave en el panorama turístico mundial, sin embargo, existe una carencia de análisis sobre las investigaciones que los académicos e instituciones de estos países realizan sobre turismo. Este trabajo trata de cubrir este vacío analizando la contribución realizada, y su evolución, por aquellos investigadores afiliados a instituciones iberoamericanas en revistas académicas especializadas en turismo durante los últimos seis años (período 2006-2011).

Scientific Dissemination of Tourism Research in Latin America. Tourism is a key industry in Iberoamerica, representing this region an important role in the international market. Thus, there is a need to analyze the tourism research developed by authors and institutions of this region. This paper analyzes the contribution in tourism academic journals of those researchers f rom Iberoamerican institutions, considering the dynamic evolution in the period 2006 - 2011.
