La ocupación prehistórica al oeste de Homs (Siria): campañas de 2008

Abstract

Desde 2004 un equipo hispano-sirio-libanés ha desarrollado un proyecto de investigación arqueológica al oeste de la ciudad de Homs, en la República árabe de Siria (Haïdar-Boustani et al., 2005, 2007, 2008 y 2009; Ibáñez et al., 2008 a y b). Las instituciones implicadas son la Institución Milà y Fontanals (Departamento de Arqueología y Antropología) del CSIC y el Instituto Internacional de Investigaciones Prehistóricas de la Universidad de Cantabria, por la parte española, la Universidad Saint Joseph de Beirut, por la libanesa, y la Dirección General de Antigüedades y Museos, por la siria.</p>

A Syrian-Lebanese-Spanish team has been carrying out an archaeological research project in the area west of the city of Homs, in the Arabic Republic of Syria, since 2004 (Haïdar- Boustani et al., 2005, 2007, 2008 y 2009; Ibáñez et al., 2008a y b). The institutions involved are the Institución Milà i Fontanals (Departamento de Arqueología y Antropología) belonging to the CSIC (Higher Council for Scientific Research), and Instituto Internacional de Investigaciones Prehistóricas de Cantabria, at the Universidad de Cantabria, from Spain; the Université Saint Joseph of Beirut (USJ), from Lebanon, and the Syrian Direction Générale des Antiquités et des Musées (DGAM). The project is supervised by Juan José Ibáñez (CSIC), Maya Haïdar-Boustani (USJ) and Michel Al- Maqdissi (DGAM).</p>
