Abstract: El presente trabajo pretende realizar un análisis de la Seguridad Vial, para ello se parte de la hipótesis de cómo la trasposición de la normativa Mundial, (informe de Seguridad Vial de la Organización Mundial de la Salud del año 2009, y la normativa europea), ha puesto de manifiesto la adaptación de España a dicha normativa. Todo esto ha supuesto una disminución significativa de la accidentalidad en nuestras carreteras. Además, se aporta un estudio sobre las estadísticas de mortalidad y accidentabilidad en las carreteras canarias, donde se demuestran cambios de comportamientos más seguro y responsables. Por otro lado, se hace referencia a la implantación del permiso de conducir por puntos en España tras una Directiva de la Unión Europea del año 2006 y como esta medida ha supuesto una reducción de la accidentalidad. También se presenta un estudio de las tasas de alcoholemia en España yel resto de la Unión Europea, donde cerca de un 33% de los accidentes con víctimas mortales se deben a los efectos del alcohol en la conducción. El alcohol es por tanto, la causa que más incidencia tiene en la accidentalidad, convirtiéndose de esta forma en una de las lacras más graves de las carreteras.
The present analyse, try to study the Road Security. For it, it splits of the hypothesis of how the World regulation, (report of Road Security of the World Health Organization of 2009, and the European regulation), has revealed the adjustment of Spain to the aboye mentioned rules. AH that, has supposed, a significant decreased of the accidents in our roads. In addition, a study is contributed on the statistics of mortality and car accidents in the Canary Islands roads, where it shown, it saves and more responsible behaviours. On the other hand, it refers to the implantation of the driving license through a points system in Spain, according and managed by European Union of 2006 and how this decision has supposed a reduction or decreased of the car accidents. On the other hand, it also shows, a study of the rates of alcoholic levels in Spain and the rest of the European Union, where is nearly 33 % of the accidents with mortal victims, is due to the effects of the alcohol in the drivers. The alcohol is therefore, the reason that more incident has in the car accidents, turning of this form into one of the most serious blights of the roads.
