Los nombres y su función narrativa en "El amigo Manso"

Abstract

A narrative technique used by Pérez Galdós consists in the function giving characters names in his artistic creations. These characters have got names that help the particular description that Galdós has done about them. This technique has been used constantly in the novel El amigo Manso (e.g.: in the name of the philosopher Máximo Manso or the poet Sáinz del Bardal). We try to analyse this technique in this coment.
