Despite challenges in data harmonization, the study identifies patterns of coexistence and changes in foreign-origin households by geographical origin. A key objective is to explore how the growing foreign population has shaped new social and residential dynamics. The Canary Islands’ status as an EU outermost region and its economic specialization introduce distinctive factors influencing migrant settlement. From a territorial perspective, notable spatial differences emerge in the distribution and characteristics of these households. The study employs quantitative analysis and georeferencing tools and highlights the need for territorial and comparative approaches to inform public policies that promote coexistence and address the specific needs of vulnerable population groups. | URI: | https://accedacris.ulpgc.es/jspui/handle/10553/165473 | ISBN: | 978-84-9127-349-3 | Source: | XXIX Congreso de la Asociación Española de Geografía: "Desafíos de la Geografía ante el Cambio Global".
