La Inspección de Primera Enseñanza en Ávila en la dictadura franquista: Un cuerpo al servicio del régimen

Abstract

La historia de la Inspección de Primera Enseñanza se ha erigido como una de las líneas de mayor interés en la historia de la educación durante los últimos años. Su influencia, implicación y directrices condicionaron la actividad en las escuelas, desde las infraestructuras hasta el propio quehacer de sus profesionales. En el presente artículo nos adentramos en este cuerpo profesional en la provincia de Ávila, durante un periodo apenas indagado desde esta perspectiva: el franquismo. La aproximación local a este fenómeno deja entrever la autoridad y presencia de la inspección, no solamente en el ámbito educativo, sino también social o cultural.

The history of the Primary Education Inspectorate has become one of the most interesting aspects of the history of education in recent years. Its influence, involvement and guidelines conditioned the activity in schools, from their infrastructures to the work of their professionals. In this article, we take a closer look at this professional body in the province of Ávila, during a period that has hardly been explored from this perspective: the Franco regime. The local approach to this phenomenon reveals the authority and presence of the inspectorate, not only in the educational sphere, but also in the social and cultural ones.
