El teatro de Beckett llevado al aula de idiomas por Helena Pimenta

Abstract

A principios de los años ochenta, cuando la enseñanza de idiomas estaba buscando nuevas formas y recursos en España, Helena Pimenta, profesora de francés en el Instituto de Bachillerato Koldo Mitxelena de Rentería en aquel momento, hoy una de las directoras de escena más brillantes del panorama teatral español, revolucionó la forma de enseñar y aprender idiomas con un proyecto teatral de centro que fue galardonado con el segundo premio en el concurso nacional Francisco Giner de los Ríos a la innovación educativa en el año 1983. Analizar la repercusión que supuso la puesta en escena escolar de la obra de Beckett, En attendant Godot (1952), como recurso para el aprendizaje de idiomas y su posible éxito en la enseñanza actual es la finalidad de este artículo.

At the beginning of the 1980s, when language teaching was just arriving to Spanish education, Helena Pimenta, French teacher 274ARTÍCULOS Acotaciones, 55 julio-diciembre 2025 in the Koldo Mitxelena Secondary High School located in Rentería at that time; one of the most prestigious stage directors in Spain nowa- days, revolutionized the way to teach and learn languages thanks to a project dealing with drama.
