dc.description.abstractA novel transducer is presented for measuring low velocities of ocean currents based on the magnetic field. The device employs a tilt-magnetic transducer using the principle of water drag. The inclination of a magnet, caused by the drag force of the water flow, allows us to infer its velocity. Finite element simulations were conducted to evaluate the system behavior. These simulations determined the magnetic forces and established a linear correlation between the angular displacement and the applied force, similar to a mechanical spring. Both experimental and simulation results demonstrate the sensor's high sensitivity and precision. This enables its usage in monitoring marine environmental conditions and assessing the impact of industrial activities on coastal biodiversity.en_US
