El yacimiento griego de Capo Soprano (Gela): una visión didáctica a través de las redes sociales y de los recursos digitales

Abstract

Lo sviluppo tecnologico degli ultimi anni ha permesso di mostrare manufatti delle società antiche che erano chiusi nei musei e di avvicinare i siti archeologici al pubblico. Piattaforme come Sketchfab sono diventate di uso comune, dal momento che permettono agli utenti di vedere i materiali in 3D, ruotarli, ingrandirli. Si possono anche costruire strutture, ricostruirle, studiare i diversi strati, ecc. Questo moltiplica le opportunità di pubblicizzare la ricchezza storico-archeologica, artistica, etnografica, e anche il patrimonio naturale di un luogo, di una regione o di un paese. La pandemia ci ha dato la possibilità di andare oltre. Le attuali possibilità tecnologiche ci forniscono nuovi strumenti che arricchiscono e facilitano il processo di istruzione e apprendimento, e non solo nell'insegnamento. Nuove forme di turismo appaiono all'orizzonte con concetti come il turismo virtuale che promuove la conoscenza di quei luoghi che vorremmo visitare e che gli enti dovrebbero adattare a queste nuove forme per una migliore valorizzazione. Abbiamo voluto portare una proposta per sviluppare un progetto che raccoglie e pubblicizza il ricco patrimonio archeologico di Gela, che funga come elemento di attrazione turistica che aiuti nella pianificazione di visite e tour, tramite l’accesso a informazioni accurate e aggiornate. Il nostro obiettivo sarebbe quello di progettare una serie di percorsi con i suoi luoghi più emblematici e significativi. Volevamo fare un piccolo esempio che mostra alcune delle molte possibilità che la tecnologia ci offre.

The technological development of recent years has made it possible to show society materials that were locked up in museums and bring the sites closer to the public. Platforms like Sketchfab have become everyday, since they allow people to see pieces in 3D, rotate them, enlarge them. It can also build structures, rebuild them, study the different layers, etc. This multiplies the possibilities to publicize the historical – archaeological, artistic and ethnographic – and also natural heritage wealth of a location, region or country. The pandemic has given us the opportunity to go further. Current technological possibilities provide us with new instruments that enrich and facilitate the education and learning process, and not only in teaching. New forms of tourism appear on the horizon with concepts such as virtual tourism that promotes knowledge of those places we want to visit and that the authorities must adapt to sell better. We have wanted to bring a proposal to develop a project that collects and publicizes the rich archaeological heritage of Gela, serving as an element of tourist attraction that helps the plan visits, tours, access to accurate and updated information. Our objective would be to design a series of routes with its most emblematic and significant places. We have wanted to bring a small example that shows some of the many possibilities that technology offers us.
