Une vision littéraire des troubles mentaux au XXIe siècle: Jours sans faimet Rienne s’oppose à la nuit de D. de Vigan

Abstract

This article analyses the literary representation of mental problems in two works by D. de Vigan. After an introduction on the approach to madness in French language literature and an approach to the social perception of these imbalances, we analyze how this writer deals with mental health through female characters marked by psychological suffering. The chosen literary works highlight the emotional charge and family influence in the construction of identity. In this way, we highlight the use of autofiction and intimate narration to capture the complexity of disorders such as bipolar disorder and anorexia in the persons of her mother and the author herself. The article emphasizes de Vigan's empathetic gaze, turning suffering into an accessible literary experience and using literature as a way of raising awareness of mental health.

Este artículo analiza la representación literaria de los problemas mentales en dos obras de D. de Vigan.Tras una introducción sobre el planteamiento de la locura en la literatura francófona y un acercamiento a la percepción social de estos desequilibrios, estudiamos cómo esta autora aborda la enfermedad mental a través de personajes femeninos marcados por elsufrimiento psicológico. Las obras elegidas destacan la carga emocional y la influencia familiar en la construcción de la identidad. Así, resaltamos el uso de la autoficción y la narración íntima para plasmar la complejidad de trastornos como la bipolaridad y la anorexia en las personas de su madre y de la propia autora. El artículo pone de manifiesto la mirada empática de De Vigan, quien convierte el sufrimiento en una experiencia literaria accesible y se sirve de la literatura como medio de sensibilización sobre la salud mental
