Quechuismos actuales en crónicas áureas sobre el Perú. Estudio de caso

Abstract

En el análisis del proceso de incorporación de los préstamos quechuas a los textos españoles áureos, aún existen cuestiones que no han sido abordadas con una investigación panorámica sobre su vitalidad sincrónica (registro en diccionarios, capacidad de generar derivados y nuevos significados). En este estudio de caso se examinan doce autores que describen e informan acerca de la realidad del Perú entre 1551 y 1653, en los que localizamos 202 quechuismos que son antecedentes documentales de los registrados en los diccionarios académicos actuales. A través de una metodología textual, comparativa y cuantitativa concluimos que el número de estas voces crece de manera progresiva en el XVII, con un grado de vitalidad sincrónica superior al 60 % en los ejemplos recopilados.

In the analysis of the process of incorporating Quechua loanwords into Spanish golden texts, there are still issues that have not been addressed with a panoramic investigation into their synchronic vitality (record in dictionaries, ability to generate derivatives and new meanings). In this case study, twelve authors are examined who describe and report on the reality of Peru between 1551 and 1653, in which we located 202 Quechuisms that are documentary antecedents of those recorded in current academic dictionaries. Through a textual, comparative and quantitative methodology, we conclude that the number of these voices grows progressively in the 17th century, with a degree of synchronous vitality greater than 60 % in the collected examples
